On July 10 First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed Aladdin stars Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), James Monroe Iglehart (Genie), Courtney Reed (Jasmine) and several members of the ensemble to perform a selection of highlights from the hit musical at The White House Kids' State Dinner. The performance garnered a standing ovation, with the First Lady thanking the cast, calling the performance “perfection.” She even joined in on a sing-along version of one of the show’s most popular number, “Friend Like Me.”
