The upcoming evening is part of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts' 19th annual Midsummer Night Swing series, which includes 25 evenings of dancing under the stars. Midsummer Night Swing 2007 will run June 19-July 21. "Lincoln Center Salutes Gay Pride" — hosted by Rodriguez — will be held on the Josie Robertson Plaza. DJs Brenda Black and Max Rodriguez will, press notes read, "heat up the night with the pulsing beats of disco, hustle, funk, and house for this 'Official Heritage of Pride' event."
A special Lincoln Center Salutes Gay Pride Cocktail Party will also be held June 21. That party will include an open bar, appetizers and access to both a VIP viewing room and the Swing dance floor. Tickets for the cocktail party, priced $50 (in advance) and $75 (at the door), can be purchased by calling (212) 721-6500 or by visiting the Avery Fisher Hall box office at Lincoln Center.
Single tickets and passes for the Midsummer Night Swing series will go on sale May 16. There is a $15 charge for all evening events, $78 for a six-night pass. For a complete list of all events, visit www.lincolncenter.org.
