WP Theater has revealed the lineup of productions for its 2024-2025 season. Under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty and Managing Director Michael Sag, the Off-Broadway company will stage two plays in its 47th season, including a world premiere from Francisca Da Silveira. 

The season will kick off with Dirty Laundry, written by Mathilde Dratwa (Milk and Gall) and directed by Rebecca Martinez (Sancocho). The production will run September 21-October 20, with an official opening set for October 6. The work follows three individuals who grapple with love, loss, lust, and household chores after the woman who unites them dies. Dirty Laundry is presented by special arrangement with Spark Theatrical. 

In spring 2025, WP Theater will stage the world premiere of Francisca Da Silveira's minor.ity, with Shariffa Ali (We Were Everywhere) directing. The three-hander interrogates Black identity, the plurality of the African diaspora, and what it means to be a sought-after artist of color, and is presented in partnership with Colt Coeur. 

“It has been a personal privilege to work with our incredible team, and our brilliant partners at Spark Theatrical and Colt Coeur, to bring you WP’s latest season, which features stellar new work from from artists old and new to WP, sharing offerings that are as joyful, smart, perceptive, thought-provoking, and laugh-out-loud funny as the artists themselves,” McNulty said in a statement. “The season shifts from grief and betrayal and the voices in one’s head that give TERRIBLE advice, to the complications and rivalries that divide three artists at an international African arts conference. We can’t wait to share it all with you–this season is going to be a blast!”
