The world premiere of Mêlisa Annis’ The Inheritance of a Long-Term Fault opens Off-Broadway December 6 at Theatre Row. The play runs through December 23.
Christianne Greiert leads the cast as Me, a successful geologist, whose keynote at a high-profile conference sets into motion a series of events that challenge her to take a look at her own origin story and the generational impact of colonialism. The cast also includes Craig Wesley Divino, Gina Fonseca, and Gabra Zackman.
Vanessa Morosco directs, with staging and additional direction by Annis. The creative team also includes scenic designer Jessie Bonaventure, costume designer Izzy Fields, lighting designer Elizabeth M. Stewart, and sound designer Angela Baughman. Kristine Schlachter is the stage manager.
The Inheritance of a Long-Term Fault has been developed with Clutch Productions, a nonprofit company focused on creating opportunities for women artists in theatre and film.
