Performances begin February 7 for Will Eno’s new play, Wakey, Wakey. The world-premiere new work, also directed by Eno, is playing at the Signature Theatre Off-Broadway.

January LaVoy and Michael Emerson star in the two hander, which will officially open February 27. The engagement is scheduled to play through March 19 in the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center.

Here’s how Signature bills the new show: “What are we here for? Is time a friend or an enemy? Do we all eventually end up in the same place, but take different routes to get there? This funny, moving, and thought-provoking new play challenges the notion of what really matters and recognizes the importance of life’s simple pleasures. (All of which might sound dreary, but there’s a chance this will be a really good experience.)”

The creative team is made up of scenic designer Christine Jones, costume designer Michael Krass, lighting designer David Lander, sound designer Nevin Steinberg, projection designer Peter Nigrini, and production stage manager David H. Lurie.
