Award-winning vocalists Adele and Barbra Streisand are said to be in talks to record an album of duets featuring their most popular songs, according to a report in The Standard.
Both artists are currently on tour and reportedly have met in Los Angeles to discuss the album.
“The feeling is that the tracks would most likely be new versions of their own best-known numbers with maybe one or two new songs added to the mix,” a source told The Standard.
Streisand’s latest album, Encore, will be released August 26. It features duets with such stars as Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Alec Baldwin and Chris Pine. Among the songs included are “At the Ballet, “ “Loving You,” “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “I’ll Be Seeing You/I’ve Grown Accustomed To Her Face” and more.
Her tour, Barbra: The Music, The Mem’ries, the Magic!, launched August 2 in Los Angeles. It will play New York August 11 and 13.
