The Muny production of the Elvis Presley-themed musical All Shook Up plays the St. Louis venue July 13–19.
Directed by Dan Knechtges and featuring choreography by Jessica Hartman and music direction by Charlie Alterman, the cast is headed by Caroline Bowman (Natalie/Ed), Tim Rogan (Chad), Felicia Finley (Miss Sandra), Liz Mikel (Sylvia), Hollis Resnik (Mayor Matilda Hyde), Lara Teeter (Jim Haller), Jerry Vogel (Sheriff Earl), Barrett Riggins (Dennis), Ciara Alyse Harris (Lorraine), and Paul Schwensen (Dean Hyde).
The ensemble includes Claire Avakian, Beth Crandall, Chloe Davis, Paul Ianiello, Wonza Johnson, Ben Lanham, Phillip Johnson-Richardson, Sean Harrison Jones, Sarah Lynn Marion, Halle Morse, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe, Drew Redington, Kaitlyn Louise Smith, April Strelinger, Will Porter, and Josh Walden. The company will be joined by the Muny kid and teen youth ensembles and the Muny/Webster Intensive students.
The production also has scenic design by Luke Cantarella, costume design by Leon Dobkowski, lighting design by John Lasiter, sound design by John Shivers and David Patridge, video design by Greg Emetaz, and wig design by Kelley Jordan; the production stage manager is Larry Smiglewski.
Set to the chart-topping hits of Elvis Presley and based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, All Shook Up, according to the Muny, "follows the story of Natalie, a tomboy mechanic with a longing heart, and Chad, a mysterious, hip-swiveling roustabout who is new to town and ready to shake things up." The show features a book by Tony winner Joe DiPietro.
