XaveMePlease, written and directed by Broadway favorite Wesley Taylor (SpongeBob SquarePants, The Addams Family), will screen at international LGBTQ+ film festival Frameline43 June 21 in San Francisco
The cast is led by Once On This Island alum Isaac Powell (Taylor's boyfriend) and Broadway casting director Alan Filderman, with supporting performances by Jordan Puhala and Tyler Hardwick.
The short film follows a young gay man named Xavier (Powell), whose conscience threatens to interfere with an opportunity to better his life.
The California screening will follow a showing at Hartford Connecticut's Out Film CT Festival June 8. The film premiered in a private screening at New York's LGBT Center.
XaveMePlease is produced and features cinematography by Michael Kushner, executive producer of Taylor and Alex Wyse's web series Indoor Boys. Kushner also created the theatrical backstage photographic series The Dressing Room Project.
The film also features sound by David Morgas and music by Rob Morrison and Marques Walls. Mikhai Lee was production assistant, and Wyse was the film's co-editor.
