Efron first burst onto the scene as a formidable triple threat with Disney’s High School Musical—which went on to become a trilogy. He also appeared as Link Larkin in the 2007 film musical Hairspray. Here, Efron plays Phillip Carlyle, who goes into the circus business with Barnum and falls in love with one of the performers.
