On October 27 students from the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts High School, which is located in Astoria, Queens, attended the critically acclaimed, Tony-nominated revival of Miss Saigon, which plays the Broadway Theatre.
The cast is headed by 21-year-old Eva Noblezada as Kim, a role the actor previously played in the London production of Saigon. For her work on Broadway, Noblezada received a Tony nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical.
Students from the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts were inspired by both the hit musical and its leading lady.
“It's important for young people to see Broadway, so they're able to expand their imagination,” said one young student, while another added, “Being able to see Eva on Broadway makes it more inspiring for me to be on Broadway one day.”
Several of the students also had the chance to meet Noblezada. Watch their reactions and more from the afternoon at the Broadway Theatre in the video above.
Miss Saigon continues at the Broadway Theatre through January 14, 2018.
