Concord Theatricals Acquires Little Bear Ridge Road Licensing Worldwide

Samuel D. Hunter's play premiered on Broadway last December, starring Laurie Metcalf.

Concord Theatricals has acquired Samuel D. Hunter's play Little Bear Ridge Road for worldwide licensing, which joins their Samuel French imprint. The work premiered on Broadway last year (following its debut at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre the year prior), beginning previews October 7, 2025 at the Booth Theatre, where it ran until December 21, 2025.

The work follows the Fernsby family in rural Idaho as an estranged aunt and nephew reunite following the passing of a family patriarch. Playwright Hunter (The Whale) made his Broadway debut with the work, which starred Laurie Metcalf and Micah Stock.

“I'm thrilled that Little Bear Ridge Road is going to be available for licensing through Concord and Samuel French,” said playwright Hunter in a statement. “I have been collaborating with them on many plays for many years now, and I'm so happy that they have acquired my Broadway debut. I look forward to working with this wonderful team on finding homes for Little Bear around the world.”
