Eddie Jemison, who played Ogie in the 2007 film Waitress, returns to the role of the eccentric Revolutionary War reenactor—this time, onstage. He makes his Broadway debut in the musical of the same name, playing a limited engagement February 11 through April 28 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

Though this marks his Broadway debut, Jemison is known in the Chicago theatre scene, having performed with Looking Glass Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, National Jewish Theatre, and more. His additional film credits include Ocean’s Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen, and The Punisher. He’s appeared on the small screen in Hung, iZombie, and Chicago Med.

Christopher Fitzgerald, who earned a Tony nomination for originating the role of Ogie, concluded his most recent encore engagement February 10. The current cast of the Sara Bareilles musical also includes Stephanie Torns as Jenna, Joey McIntyre as Dr. Pomatter, Charity Angél Dawson as Becky, Benny Elledge as Cal, Lenne Klingaman as Dawn, Larry Marshall as Joe, and Ben Thompson as Earl.
