Directed by artistic director Molly Smith, the two-character play by Eric Coble stars Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons and two-time Tony Award winner Stephen Spinella, both making their Arena Stage debuts.

Performances run through Oct. 20.

"The play introduces us to Alexandra, a 79-year-old woman living a solitary existence in her Brooklyn brownstone with her fleeting memories and enough explosives to take down most of the block," press notes state. "At an impasse with her family over how she should spend her autumn years, her long-absent son enters as an unlikely mediator."

Parsons was last seen onstage in Nice Work If You Can Get It. Her stage credits also include Good People, August: Osage County, The Shadow Box, The Pirates of Penzance and The Norman Conquests. She won an Academy Award for her role in "Bonnie and Clyde" and has also appeared on TV in "The Good Wife," "Empire Falls" and "Roseanne."

Spinella's stage credits include Angels in America, A View From the Bridge, Electra, James Joyce's The Dead, Our Town and Spring Awakening. His film work includes "Lincoln," "Milk" and "Cradle Will Rock."

The creative team includes set designer Eugene Lee, costume designer Linda Cho, lighting designer Rui Rita, sound designer Darron L. West, wig designer Paul Huntley, stage manager Susan R. White and assistant stage manager Michael D. Ward.
