Marc Camoletti's "classic sixties comedy of errors," translated by Beverley Cross and Francis Evans plays Broadway's Longacre Theatre. Matthew Warchus directs.
Best known as the host of TV's popular "Trading Spaces," Davis (who will play American flight attendant Gloria, replacing Kathryn Hahn) starred as Roxie Hart in Chicago and appeared in the national tours of Beauty and the Beast and Sweet Charity.
Gayheart (who will play lusty Italian stewardess Gabriella, replacing Gina Gershon) last appeared on Broadway as Shelby in Steel Magnolias. She starred in the FOX drama "Vanished," "Beverly Hills: 90210," and has guest starred on "Ugly Betty," "Nip/Tuck," and had a recurring role on "Dead Like Me." Her many film credits include "Nothing to Lose," "Scream 2," "Jawbreaker" and Urban Legend, among others.
Boeing-Boeing won 2008 Tony Awards for Best Play Revival and Best Actor (Mark Rylance) and Drama Desk Awards for Best Play Revival and Best Actor (Rylance). The show received four additional Tony nominations.
In the comedy, "an architect living in Paris (Germann) has been successfully juggling three flight attendant fiancées (Davis, Gayheart, and Pyle) with his housekeeper (Baranski) reluctantly playing romantic air-traffic controller as they fly in and out of his swank bachelor pad. But when an old school pal (Rylance) visits, things get rather turbulent. Schedules change, flights are delayed and chaos ensues in this whirl of mayhem and matchmaking."
