The latest installment of the game show for musical lovers, Tune in Time, will return to The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter’s December 12 with a special holiday celebration. Presented by The York Theatre Company, the evening involves teams of composers and lyricists collaborating to write a brand-new song in under 20 minutes.
December’s composers and lyricists list includes two pair of married songwriters, Jill Abramovitz (Bread and Roses) and Brad Alexander (See Rock City & Other Destinations), and Michele Foor (Serving Time) and Frank Spitnagel (music director/musical improv comedy), as well as writing duo and returning player Rick Bassett (Burning Up) and Jessica Fleitman (The Average-Sized Mermaid). The couples will be separated and paired with another writer.
The celebrity judges will be Nick Corley, Brandon Ellis, and Kirsten Wyatt.
Tune in Time is presented by Amy Engelhardt and Heather Shields, hosted by Emily McNamara, with musical director Nate Buccieri. Sheila Head is timekeeper.
Tickets, priced $20, can be purchased online at YorkTheatre.org or by calling (212) 935-5820.
