End of the Rainbow, written by Peter Quilter and directed by Terry Johnson, follows Garland during her final concert performances in London in 1968, shortly before her death a year later. Classic songs from Garland's repertoire, including "The Man That Got Away," "Come Rain or Come Shine," "The Trolley Song" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," are featured in the play and on the CD.
Bennett received an Olivier Award for her work as Velma von Tussle in Hairspray. Additional London stage credits include La Cage aux Folles, Les Miserables, High Society and She Loves Me. She has also appeared on the popular TV series "Coronation Street."
