Tony Winner Idina Menzel Gives 11-Year-Old Fan the Surprise of a Lifetime | Playbill

Film & TV News Tony Winner Idina Menzel Gives 11-Year-Old Fan the Surprise of a Lifetime As the Frozen musical opens in Denver, the film’s original star still can’t let this 11-year-old fan’s performance go.

Tony-winning actor Idina Menzel—also the iconic voice of Disney’s Elsa from the animated film Frozen—left on her world tour in March and just wrapped the global concert extravaganza September 3.

During her July engagement in Dallas, she invited kids in the audience to join her onstage for her Frozen power ballad, “Let It Go.” An 11-year-old fan, Luke Chacko, stole the show when he sang a few songs from the Oscar-winning song. (Watch the video here.)

On September 11, Ellen Degeneres invited Chacko to reprise his performance:

After Chacko regaled the Ellen audience with his full rendition of the song, he sat down to chat with the host. Menzel surprised the little belter onstage to give him a hug and jockey for a spot in his “squad.” Watch his reaction in the video above.
