News Tony Award Winner Lets Fans Track Her as She Runs in the NYC Marathon Cynthia Erivo is taking part in the annual 26-mile trot through all five boroughs.

Want to see a Tony Award winner in a long run?

You have your chance November 6 when Cynthia Erivo, star of Broadway's Tony-winning revival of The Color Purple, trots for 26.219 miles through all five boroughs in the annual New York City Marathon, beginning at 8:30 AM ET.

Erivo, who won the 2016 Tony as Best Actress in a Musical, will be joined by fellow actors Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings), Nev Schulman (Catfish), Lee Pace (Halt and Catch Fire), and Eric Millegan (Bones).

Starting line is at the Verrazano Bridge in Staten Island. The course swings around Central Park South, just a few blocks north of Times Square, and ends at Central Park near 66th Street.

Theatregoers headed for the city Sunday should allow extra time for road and bridge closures associated with the run.
