International News TodayTix Selling £10,000 West End 'All You Can Seat' Season Pass

Ten lucky (and deep-pocketed) theatregoers will be able to see every show in next year's London theatre season.

A new scheme from TodayTix will allow 10 theatregoers to purchase a season pass to West End theatre, or as they're calling it, an "All You Can Seat" theatre package. Priced at a casual £10,000 (or $12,524), the pass will allow holders to get premium-level tickets to all West End shows in the 2024 season, and includes connection to a TodayTix personal concierge to assist with booking.

But there are some caveats. The offer cannot be used on bank holiday weekends—more or less the U.S. equivalent of any weekend in which mail service would be suspended. Pass holders can only see each show once, and can only see two shows in any given week. They also don't get anything back if they choose not to see a show. Pass holders can, however, get exchanges or refunds in the case of a star being out of a show with less than 24 hours notice, pursuant to the theatre's protocols for normal ticket holders.

TodayTix is only selling 10 of these passes, so act fast if you've got the cash and want in. Those interested are instructed to email [email protected].

The program appears to be a first of its kind, though an idea that has been discussed within the industry. It's a challenging endeavor, with no one entity handling all West End (much less Broadway) productions or the ticketing. TodayTix's setup here is interesting in its limited nature and its luxury price, no doubt designed to lessen the third party ticket seller's risk when the amount of shows playing in the 2024 season is not yet set, nor the ticket pricing. All eyes will be on TodayTix to see if there's any chance of this program expanding, perhaps even at a less premium price point.
