The Times Square Alliance's Solstice in Times Square: Mind Over Madness Yoga is back for its 21st year, with registration now open.
Set for June 21, the all-day event sees yogis gather in New York City's Times Square for a day of outdoor yoga in celebration of the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. To register for the in-person classes, visit TSQ.org.
"It is time once again to celebrate the sun and the arrival of the summer season in Times Square with our annual Solstice in Times Square Mind Over Madness yoga event as we continue to welcome more and more New Yorkers, visitors, and tourists to the Crossroads of the World,” says TSA President Tom Harris. "We call on yogis from all over the country and world to find peace in the busiest place on the planet, and encourage them to stay in our hotels, eat in our restaurants, and enjoy a Broadway show."
Instructors for the event are set to include event co-founder Douglass Stewart (7:30–8:30 AM), Kirra Michel (9:30–10:30 AM), Ruchika Lal (11:30 AM–12:30 PM), Marco Rojas (1:30–2:30 PM), Nyota Nayo (3:30–4:30 PM), Joseph Encinia (5:30–6:30 PM), and Matt Boylin (7:30–8:30 PM). Registered participants who attend will receive a free yoga mat courtesy of Peloton.
Those unable to attend in person are invited to stream classes via TSQ.org, YouTube, or the Times Square Facebook page.
