The Tony-winning singer-actress will offer her acclaimed Mostly Sondheim concert at Carnegie Hall Nov. 22, 2003. This will mark the second time that Cook has performed her evening of Sondheim at the famed hall. Her Feb. 2, 2001 concert — featuring guest vocalist Malcolm Gets — was recorded live at Carnegie Hall and subsequently released on two CDs by DRG Records. This current Sondheim evening is titled Mostly Sondheim Revisited. After her successful Carnegie Hall concert in 2001, Cook brought her Mostly Sondheim act to Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theater for a limited engagement. Consisting of songs by Sondheim and songs the composer wished he had written, the concert was also taped for DVD/video and was released April 22. Song titles include "Everybody Says Don't," "Buds Won't Bud," "I Wonder What Became of Me," "The Eagle and Me," "I Had Myself a True Love," "Another Hundred People"/"So Many People," "In Buddy's Eyes," "I Got Lost in His Arms," "You Can't Get a Man With a Gun," "Hard Hearted Hannah"/"Waiting for the Robert E. Lee"/"San Francisco," "When in Rome (I Do As the Romans Do)," "Happiness," "Loving You," "You Could Drive a Person Crazy," "Send in the Clowns," "Ice Cream," "Not a Day Goes By," "Losing My Mind," "The Trolley Song" and "Anyone Can Whistle."

Cheered for her beautiful, crystal-clear soprano voice, Barbara Cook has starred on Broadway in Flahooley, Candide, The Gay Life, The Music Man and She Loves Me. She received a Best Featured Actress in a Musical Tony Award for her performance as Marian in The Music Man. Cook is also an internationally renowned concert artist whose numerous recordings are available on CD, including "Oscar Winners: The Lyrics of Oscar Hammerstein II," "Dorothy Fields: Close As Pages in a Book," "Live from London" and "All I Ask of You."
