Andrea McArdle in Annie

She started it all. I saw Annie, and loved it so much. Practically wore out my recording. I think of Andrea every time anyone sings the songs.

Patti LuPone in Evita

She has such a strong presence. She was perfect in that role. My family and I would belt out Evita on our road trips.

Mandy Patinkin in Evita and his solo concerts

He is so passionate. His solo concert was entrancing. Just Mandy, a piano and a bare, huge stage.

Stephanie Lawrence in Blood Brothers

I saw this show in London and was blown away. She had this smoky, effortless belt. And, the way she acted this part was spectacular. She had me in tears every time, and I saw her perform A LOT!!!!

Con O'Neill in Blood Brothers

Again, I saw him so many times, and would weep every time. His performance was different every night, and just breathtaking.

Revival cast of Big River

Loved what Deaf West did with that show. It was stunning when the music cut out and everyone signed. Looking forward to seeing what they do with Spring Awakening.

James Earl Jones in The Best Man

To get to share the stage with him was such an honor. He is captivating.

Bernadette Peters in Song and Dance

I just love her. That was another recording I listened to over and over again.

Cast of Pippin

Never saw the original, but this revival reminded me of why I love to perform — what a gift it can be. It also made me want to take up acrobatics, but that isn't working out so well.

Liz Callaway in Baby

I never got to actually see this, but she has one of my all-time favorite voices. "Story Goes On?" Enough said.
