OPENING→ Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Billy Crudup and Shuler Hensley take on the existential double bill that is Harold Pinter's No Man's Land and Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. The Godot part of the equation was a hit in 2009 when it was staged in London's West End. The Pinter part received strong reviews when it played Berkeley Rep earlier this year. GO (CA)→ Parfumerie, Miklos Laszlo's play, adapted by E. P. Dowdall, begins performances at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. The story of two quarreling co-workers who unwittingly exchange love letters with each other inspired the films "The Shop Around the Corner," "In the Good Old Summertime" and "You’ve Got Mail" and the musical She Loves Me. The production stars Eddie Kaye Thomas ("American Pie"), "West Wing" star Richard Schiff, Ayre Gross from "Six Feet Under" and Deborah Ann Woll from "True Blood." TOUR→ A reboot of Andrew Lloyd Webber's blockbuster musical The Phantom of the Opera hits the road on a national tour. Mark Campbell and Julia Udine play the Phantom and Christine, respectively, in this popular version of the record-breaking musical that has been touring the U.K. The North American tour kicks off in Providence and moves on to Minneapolis, Chicago and Columbus, among other cities. WATCH→ The 87th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has become synonymous with Turkey Day! And as is tradition, a host of Broadway shows and celebs will be in attendance at the big parade live from Manhattan. On the roster of performers/presenters this year are Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth, Megan Hilty, Cirque du Soleil, the companies of Motown and Matilda the Musical, and Carrie Underwood, star of the upcoming "The Sound of Music" live televised broadcast. WATCH→ Barbra Streisand caps off PBS' 40th Anniversary of "Great Performances" with her Back to Brooklyn concert. The concert, filmed at the Barclay's Center last year, features the legendary actress-singer with a 60-piece band. The album version of the special is released Nov. 25. Expect Streisand's unbeatable vocals on songs like "As If We Never Said Goodbye," "Rose's Turn," "People" and "Evergreen." (PBS, check local listings. Info.)
