Soho Rep’s staging of Alice Birch’s Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. officially opened Off-Broadway April 19, following previews that began April 5. The production marks a U.S. debut for the award-winning British playwright, who was a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize in 2012 and 2015.

Directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, Birch’s work uses a series of vignettes to explore the politics of language, looking at how we talk to, and about, each other. “This play is not well behaved,” state production notes.

Following an extension announcement, the engagement is now scheduled to run through May 15. The cast features Daniel Abeles, Molly Bernard, Eboni Booth and Jennifer Ikeda.
