Following a fall 2022 premiere at Chester's Storyhouse, The Time Traveller's Wife: The Musical will transfer to the Apollo Theatre in London’s West End. Performances will begin October 7 with an opening set for November 1.

David Hunter and Joanna Woodward will reprise their roles as Henry and Clare in the new musical based on the best-selling novel by Audrey Niffenegger and the New Line Cinema film screenplay by Bruce Joel Rubin. The musical adaptation features a score by by Grammy winners Joss Stone and The Eurythmics' Dave Stewart and a book by Lauren Gunderson. Additional music is by Nick Finlow and additional lyrics by Kait Kerrigan.

The Time Traveller's Wife centers on a love story between Henry and Clare, one experienced out of order thanks to Henry's rare condition that sees him pulled into the past or the future with no warning when his genetic clock periodically resets.

Bill Buckhurst returns to direct the production, featuring scenic design by Anna Fleischle, with choreography by Shelley Maxwell, lighting design by Lucy Carter, illusions by Chris Fisher, video design by Andrzej Goulding, sound design by Richard Brooker, musical supervision and arrangement by Nick Finlow, orchestrations by Malcolm Edmonstone, and wigs, hair and make-up design by Susanna Peretz.

Casting is by Grindrod Burton Casting. The producing team includes Colin Ingram, InTheatre Productions, Gavin Kalin Productions, Teresa Tsai, Crossroads Live, by special arrangement with Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures.
