To celebrate its second anniversary on Broadway, the hit musical The Great Gatsby will offer a sing-along performance April 22 at 7 PM at the Broadway Theatre.
Audience members will be invited to sing along to “Roaring On,” “New Money,” “My Green Light,” “Shady,” “Better Hold Tight,” “La Dee Dah,” and “Finale: Roaring On.” Lyric sheets will be provided (the song list is subject to change).
Since opening in April 2024, the production has played over 800 performances and sold over a million tickets, welcoming patrons from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. Its success has since gone global; productions have launched in London’s West End and Seoul, South Korea; there is also an ongoing U.S. national tour.
The Broadway company is currently headed by Ryan McCartan as Jay Gatsby, two-time Tony nominee Eva Noblezada as Daisy Buchanan, Michael
Maliakel as Nick, Linedy Genao as Myrtle Wilson, Austin Colby as Tom
Buchanan, Samantha Pauly as Jordan Baker, Charlie Pollock as George
Wilson, and Eric Anderson as Meyer Wolfsheim.
Beginning March 30, Reeve Carney (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark) will step into the role of Jay Gatsby, playing opposite his real-life wife, Noblezada. The newlyweds have a long history of sharing the stage, in the Broadway and London productions of Hadestown as well as the London revival of Cabaret. The Great Gatsby, however, will mark their first time performing on Broadway as husband and wife—the couple married in October of last year.
Also joining the cast will be Corbin Bleu (High School Musical; Kiss Me, Kate) as Nick Carraway and John Behlmann (Tootsie, Shucked) as Tom Buchanan.
The ensemble includes Alexis Hasbrouck, Curtis Holland, Nathaniel Hunt, Traci Elaine Lee, Dariana Mullen, Elena Ricardo, Dan Rosales, Dave Schoonover, Mike Schwitter, Tess Soltau, Preston Taylor, Matt Wiercinski, Kyla Stone, and Damani Van Rensalier. Kurt Csolak, Haley Fish, Morgan Harrison, Justin Keats, Drew Lake, Brandon J. Large, Alicia Lundgren, and Alex Prakken round out the cast as swings.
Based on the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, The Great Gatsby features music and lyrics by Nathan Tysen (Paradise Square) and Jason Howland (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) and a book by Jonathan Larson Grant winner Kait Kerrigan (The Mad Ones). Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) directs with choreography by Dominique Kelley (Mariah’s Magical Christmas Special).
Set in the Roaring '20s, the musical follows eccentric millionaire Jay Gatsby, who will stop at nothing in his tragic pursuit of Daisy Buchanan, a wealthy young woman whom he loved in his youth.
