News The Fantasticks' Charles West to Make Manhattan Cabaret Debut Charles West, who has appeared on Broadway in The Scarlet Pimpernel and Cyrano, the Musical, will make his New York cabaret debut next month at Don't Tell Mama.

West, who is currently the standby for the role of El Gallo in Off-Broadway's The Fantasticks, has titled his show Charles West... Feeling Good.

Show times at the Manhattan venue are scheduled for Nov. 16 and 23 at 9:15 PM, Nov. 17 and Dec. 15 at 11:15 PM and Dec. 9 at 9:15 PM.

About his upcoming Manhattan cabaret debut, West said, "I like where I've been. The ups and downs of my life onstage and off have taught me a lot. It took me a while, but now I love where I am. When words alone aren't enough, all I can do is sing about it...and I'm feeling good!"

The evenings will feature music direction by Steven Ray Watkins, direction by Mark Hawbecker and musical arrangements by Watkins and West; the show is written by Hawbecker and West.

Lampkin Music Group produces. Don't Tell Mama is located in Manhattan at 343 West 46th Street. There is a $15 cover charge and a two-drink minimum; $10 for MAC, AEA, seniors and students. Cash only. For reservations call (212) 757-0788.
