Welcome to Clowntown, an adult-friendly comedy by Tanya Perez, begins performances Off-Broadway at The Tank April 21. The one-woman-show is expected to run through May 13.

Directed by Lorca Peress, the play explores Perez's experiences as a party clown in New York and Hollywood. The immersive experience includes opt-in party games alongside the storytelling narrative, with Perez flipping between her own story as a Latiné woman trying to make ends meet, and the inner monologue of Pixie the Clown.

Welcome to Clowntown features lighting design by Katie Whittemore, set design by Jennifer Varbalow, and costume design by Lisa Renee Jordan. The run is produced in partnership with Ryan Basham.
