News Take A Look At The New Art For Harry Potter Parody Puffs Off-Broadway The hit comedy follows the lives of the wizard classmates who, unlike Harry and his friends, weren't in the limelight.

Tilted Windmills Theatricals will present the Off-Broadway transfer of the hit comedy Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic. The Harry Potter parody will make the move from the People’s Improv Theatre, where it has played a sold-out run, to the Elektra Theater.

The comedy follows the lives of the wizard classmates who, unlike Harry and his friends, weren't in the limelight. Puffs concluded its run at the PIT August 4 and begins previews at the Elektra September 29. An official opening night is scheduled for October 20.

The play is written by Matt Cox, directed by Kristin McCarthy Parker and originally produced by Stephen Stout and Colin Waitt. The cast features Langston Belton, Madeleine Bundy, Jessie Cannizzaro, Nick Carillo, AJ Ditty, Julie Ann Earls, James Fouhey, Andy Miller, Zac Moon, Eleanor Philips and Stout.

“Some people are born to change the world. Some people are born with the capacity to do great things. Some people are born to rise from humble beginnings to beat back the forces of darkness in the face of insurmountable odds,” state show notes. “[Puffs] is the story of the people who sit in class next to those people.”

The production features production design by Liz Blessing and Madeleine Bundy, lighting design by Michelle Kelleher, costume design by Madeleine Bundy, sound design by Matt Cox and original music by Brian Hoes.

In the U.K., the West End stage adaptation, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts One and Two, officially opened July 30 at London’s Palace Theatre. J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne’s play is sold-out through 2017, with fans traveling from all around the world to see the show.
