Goodspeed Musicals' production of the Tony-nominated musical Dreamgirls plays the Connecticut venue November 10–December 30. The production will subsequently be seen at New Jersey's McCarter Theatre Center March 6–24, 2024.
Directed by Lili-Anne Brown, the cast is led by Ta-Tynisa Wilson (Hamilton) as Deena, Keirsten Hodgens (SIX) as Lorrell, Trejah Bostic (The Leading Lady Club) as Effie, Evan Tyrone Martin (An Unforgettable Nat King Cole Christmas) as Curtis, Jos N. Banks as CC, Mykal Kilgore (Motown the Musical, Hair) as Jimmy, and Robert Cornelius as Marty.
The ensemble features Chuckie Benson, Shantel Cribbs, Arnold Harper II, Alia Hodge, Alfred E. Jackson, Diva LaMarr, Melanie Loren, Kwame M. Remy, Aalon Smith, Montria Walker, and Jalisa Williams with swings Joel Oliver and Sierra Wilson.
The production also has choreography by Breon Arzell, music direction by Christie Chiles Twillie, scenic design by Arnel Sancianco, costume design by Samantha C. Jones, lighting design by Jason Lynch, sound design by Jay Hilton, wig design by Earon Nealey, and orchestrations by Mark G. Meadows.

Henry Krieger and Tom Eyen's Dreamgirls won six Tony Awards in its 1982 Broadway premiere. The late Michael Bennett took home the award for Best Choreography alongside collaborator Michael Peters. Jennifer Holliday memorably created the role of Effie to Tony-winning effect, stopping the show nightly with "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going." The 2006 film, adapted and directed by Bill Condon, earned Jennifer Hudson the Golden Globe and Academy Awards for her portrayal of Effie.
