Broadway favorite Foster, who also stars in the TV series "Younger," will play a "stubborn and fierce Mennonite wife gone rogue."
The comedy, based on the same-named British series, follows "a group of underachieving fortysomething friends who gather in Belize to celebrate an early retirement. When wild events start to unfold, secrets are revealed — and someone dies," according to the industry website.
The cast of "Mad Dogs" includes Billy Zane, Steve Zahn, Romany Malco, Michael Imperioli and Ben Chaplin.
The new series, currently filming in Puerto Rico, is scheduled to make its debut in 2016.
Foster is a Tony winner for her performances in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Anything Goes.
