Stacey Sargeant and Andrew R. Butler stopped by the Playbill studio to perform a song from Butler's sci-fi musical Rags Parkland Sings the Songs of the Future, now playing an extended run at Ars Nova. Set 250 years in the future, the musical paints a world in which humans are built in black market labs and Mars is a forced labor camp where underground outlaws are planning a rebellion.
Rags Parkland is created by Butler and directed by Jordan Fein (Singlet). Leading the cast are Butler and Stacey Sargeant; they are joined by Rick Burkhardt, Tony Jarvis, Jessie Linden, and Debbie Christine Tjong.
Performances continue through November 10. Tickets can be purchased by visiting Arsnovanyc.com or by calling (212) 352-3101.
