News Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark's Ezralow to Choreograph Cats in Italy Daniel Ezralow ("Across the Universe," The Green Bird), who will choreograph Julie Taymor's Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark, will also choreograph the upcoming Italian version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats.

The international hit musical, based on the poems of T.S. Eliot, will be directed by Ezralow and Saverio Marconi and produced by Compagnia della Rancia. Opening night is scheduled for Oct. 28 at Rome's Teatro Sistina. In a statement Ezralow said, "I'm really happy that I've been given this opportunity. The show is taking a completely new shape where, along with the extraordinary score written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and the beautiful book by T.S. Eliot, we'll try to explain the strange relationship that occurs between cats and men. There are human aspects in cats and feline aspects in men; this is the pecularity we're focusing on."

The production will also feature costumes designed by Francesco Martini of Maison Coveri.

Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark will begin previews at Broadway's Hilton Theatre Feb. 25, 2010.
