The revival of Noël Coward’s Present Laughter marked the Broadway debut of Tedra Millan, who plays Daphne Stillington. The actor took her Broadway bow alongside Academy Award and two-time Tony Award winner Kevin Kline as Garry Essendine, Tony and Emmy Award nominee Kate Burton as Liz Essendine, Tony Award nominee Kristine Nielsen as Monica Reed, and stage and screen star Cobie Smulders as Joanna Lyppiatt, and more. It’s a full circle moment for Millan, as she told Playbill, since she plays the role that also marked her professional debut years ago. Millan leaves 1940’s London to head to Gotham Hall for an opening night celebration in her glam look by stylist Thomas Carter Phillips.
