Hamilton, the new musical by Tony Award-winning In the Heights star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, which explores the life of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, officially opens Off-Broadway Feb. 17. The buzz-generating musical also stars Brian d'Arcy James, Phillipa Soo, Christopher Jackson and Leslie Odom Jr.

The Hamilton cast will unveil a plaque that will be displayed permanently in the Ford Foundation Lobby of The Public Theater. Hamilton performs in the Newman Theater space, the same one where A Chorus Line originated before moving to the Shubert Theatre for its record-setting Broadway run.
A Chorus Line alumni scheduled to attend this special 40th anniversary tribute include Scott Allen, Renee Baughman, Kelly Bishop, Chuck Cissel, Kay Cole, Ronald Dennis, Brandt Edwards, Nancy Lane, Patricia Garland, Carolyn Kirsch, Ronald Kuhlman, Baayork Lee, Carole Schweid, Michael Serrecchia, and Samuel Williams.
Nilan was an award-winning writer, director, actor, producer, educator, and arts leader whose work centered on intersectionality, queer life, and the multiplicity of human experience.
