The North American tour of Shucked has unveiled full casting for its second year on the road, with the new crew taking over as of October 21 at Morrison Center in Boise, Idaho.

The new company is led by Miki Abraham as Lulu, Nick Bailey (Waitress) as Beau, Maya Lagerstam (The Gospel According to Heather) as Storyteller 1, Joe Moeller (& Juliet) as Storyteller 2, Mike Nappi (Darling Grenadine) as Peanut, Quinn VanAntwerp as Gordy, and Danielle Wade (Mean Girls) as Maizy. Abraham, Lagerstam, Nappi, VanAntwerp, and Wade are continuing after launching the tour in 2024.

The cast also includes Elijah Caldwell, Carly Caviglia, Zach Cossman, Cecily Dionne Davis, Jaden Dominique, Ryan Fitzgerald, Sean Casey Flanagan, Dominique Kent, Nick Raynor, Celeste Rose, Kyle Sherman, and Mallorie Sievert. Caviglia, Davis, Fitzgerald, Flanagan, Raynor, Rose, and Sherman are continuing after since the launch.

Shucked features a book by Tony winner Robert Horn and a score by Tony nominees and Nashville writers Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally. Three-time Tony winner Jack O’Brien directs.

The Broadway musical takes place in an isolated Midwestern town whose chief crop is corn. But when the corn starts mysteriously dying, it's up to Maizy to journey into the wider world to find a corn doctor.

The Broadway production received nine Tony nominations at the 2023 awards, with Alex Newell winning the award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for their performance as Lulu; Newell made history as the first non-binary actor to win an acting Tony. The musical gave its final performance on Broadway January 14, 2024, at the Nederlander, having played 28 previews and 327 regular performances.

The tour also features scenic design by Scott Pask, costume design by Tilly Grimes, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, sound design by John Shivers, wig design by Mia Neal, and casting by Stephen Kopel of C12 Casting. Nick Williams is the tour music director, Alan D. Knight is the production stage manager, and Dhyana Colony is the company manager.
