The Los Angeles Times reports that Seligson said that her departure from the organization — which presents rarely revived, classic Broadway musicals for limited engagements — is "very friendly and amicable." Although she would not elaborate, Seligson told the Los Angeles paper that she is currently at work on a new theatrical project. Jim Gardia, managing director of Reprise!, will assume Seligson's duties for the remainder of the season. No decision has been made about a search for a permanent producing artistic director.
Earlier this season Reprise! represented the classic Leonard Bernstein Adolph Green-Betty Comden musical On the Town. The season will continue with City of Angels (Jan. 24-Feb. 5, 2006) and Zorba (May 2-14, 2006).
