See Wayne Brady Return to Broadway’s Kinky Boots

Emmy winner and Grammy nominee Wayne Brady stepped back into his heels as Lola in the Tony-winning Kinky Boots March 5.

Brady, who will continue through April 26 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, succeeds J. Harrison Ghee, who is temporarily leaving the show to star in the Paper Mill Playhouse world premiere of the new musical The Sting. Ghee will return May 1.

For the first weeks of his limited run, Brady will appear opposite Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears, who plays Charlie Price through April 1, as well as Kirstin Maldonado, who takes on the role of Lauren through April 8. American Idol winner David Cook will become Broadway's new Charlie Price beginning April 3.
