Do You Feel Anger?, Mara Nelson-Greenberg’s dark comedy, is set to begin performances Off-Broadway March 13 ahead of a March 31 opening night. The production, directed by Margot Bordelon, is scheduled to run through April 20 at the Vineyard Theatre.
Do You Feel Anger? tells the story of Sofia, a woman who is hired as an empathy coach at a debt collection agency. But employees can barely identify what an emotion is, much less practice deep, radical compassion for others. As they painstakingly stumble towards enlightenment, the unspoken dynamics of their seemingly blithe workplace culture become increasingly unsettling.
