The world premiere of Mister Miss America, which began previews July 6, officially opens July 11. The show—written and performed by Neil D'Astolfo—has been extended at Off-Broadway's Rattlestick Playwrights Theater through August 7.
Derek Tyler Taylor, played by D'Astolfo, is ready to claw his way to the top of the competition at the 86th Annual Miss Southwestern Virginia Pageant. But victory is hard-won, and Derek has to decide how far he'll go to earn the crown.
Tony Speciale directs the show, which features scenic design by Se Hyun Oh, costume design by Hunter Kaczorowski, lighting design by Travis McHale, sound design by Sun Hee Kil, and choreography by Christopher Campbell. TaTyana Smith serves as production stage manager, and Sheree V Campbell as assistant stage manager.
D'Astolfo developed Mister Miss America through the AFO Solo Collective. The production by All for One Theater is presented by special arrangement with Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.
