The U.K. and Ireland tour of The Cher Show will celebrate 100 performances at Milton Keynes Theatre August 13. The European premiere opened April 19 at the Leicester Curve.
Directed by Arlene Phillips (Saturday Night Fever), the production features Olivier nominee Debbie Kurup (Bonnie & Clyde, The Bodyguard) as Star, Danielle Steers (Six, Bat Out of Hell) as Lady, and Millie O'Connell (Rent, Six) as Babe.
Featuring a book by Tony and Olivier winner Rick Elice (Jersey Boys), the musical follows Cher's journey to stardom from humble beginnings to trailblazing against conventions with a look at the Oscar-, Emmy-, Grammy-, and Golden Globe-winning star in three different lights. Audiences hear 35 of Cher's hits, including "If I Could Turn Back Time," "I Got You Babe," "Strong Enough," "The Shoop Shoop Song," and "Believe."
