Following a workshop presentation earlier this year, the Fellowship for Performing Arts’ fully staged production of Martin Luther on Trial officially opened December 14. The new play, which began performances Off-Broadway December 2, places Luther before a witness panel that includes Martin Luther King Jr., Adolf Hitler, Sigmund Freud, Rabbi Josel, St. Paul, and Pope Francis. Luther's wife defends him and the Devil prosecutes.
Martin Luther on Trial is written by Chris Cragin-Day and FPA artistic director Max McLean. The production is directed by Michael Parva at the Pearl Theatre, located at 555 West 42nd Street.

The 2021 concert preceded the acclaimed Off-Broadway staging of Creel's musical inspired by his time wandering the collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Original Hairspray cast members Laura Bell Bundy, Marissa Jaret Winokur, and Kerry Butler star in an evening of songs and anecdotes from their careers.
