Artists Striving to End Poverty, the non-profit organization that empowers disadvantaged children through the performing and visual arts, held its inaugural gala on April 23 at Feinstein’s/54 Below.
Tony Award winner Andrea Martin hosted the evening that honored the activism of composer-lyricist Georgia Stitt, and CASES (Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services).

The evening was conceived and directed by Broadway music director Mary-Mitchell Campell (Mean Girls), who founded ASTEP 11 years ago. The lineup of performers included Tony Award nominees Kate Baldwin (Hello, Dolly!) and Laura Osnes (Bandstand), as well as Mean Girls cast members Erika Henningsen and Grey Henson, Sean Green Jr. (Hamilton), Jessica Vosk (Wicked), and more to be announced.
Martin and Osnes have been special guest performers on Playbill’s Broadway on the High Seas cruises.
