Matt de Rogatis and Christian Jules Le Blanc will reprise their performances from their Off-Broadway revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the 2024 Tennessee Williams Festival in New Orleans March 23. The pair will perform the play's second act, again taking on the mantles of Brick and Big Daddy, respectively. The one-night-only performance will be held at Hotel Monteleone Queen Anne Ballroom.
The performance will be followed by a talkback, moderated by Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival curator and co-founder David Kaplan.
"We are always happy to offer unique Tennessee Williams content to our audiences," says Festival Managing Director Tracy Cunningham in a statement. "Having Christian Le Blanc and Matt de Rogatis present a portion of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is a great event all by itself. To have them also present a talkback about bringing the production to life Off-Broadway and what it's like to embody such complex, volatile characters makes it an especially exciting addition to our lineup."
De Rogatis and Le Blanc previously starred in an 2022 Off-Broadway revival of the work at Theatre at St. Clement's, directed by Joe Rosario. De Rogatis reprised his performance in a 2023 encore run of the production, produced by Ruth Stage.
