News Ruck Blooms as Leo in Producers Tour in Denver Jan. 6-31; Stadlen's Back and King Ascends Ulla's Throne The national tour of The Producers that had settled in Los Angeles in 2003 with headliners Jason Alexander and Martin Short has now broken free of California and moves to Denver Jan. 6, where Alan Ruck debuts as Leo and Lewis Stadlen returns as Max.

Ruck is known for playing hapless roles in TV's "Spin City" and Hollywood's "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Stadlen launched the country's first national tour of the Mel Brooks sensation in fall 2002, later to be bumped out of the L.A. stop and bounced to Broadway. Late in his New York run, he took a leave from Broadway to recover from an injury but is rested and ready for the tour.

Making her debut as the principal Ulla in the tour in actress Charley Izabella King, who understudied in L.A. and graduates to the role in Denver and beyond.

Performances continue at the Buell Theatre at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts to Jan. 31.

The company also includes Lee Roy Reams as Roger, Fred Applegate as Franz and Josh Prince as Carmen Ghia.
