The cast includes Tony and Drama Desk Award winner Cady Huffman, Tony Award nominee Gabriel Barre and entertainment columnist and actor Michael Musto as well as Aurora Black, Lola Carter, Chris Comfort, Dorothea Garland, Kimberly Giannelli, Sonja Harpstead, Peter Hart, Justin Sams, Kelsey Strauch, Roxie Valdez, Vanessa Walters, Jacob A. Ware and Paul Zuker.

The infamous "Ladies in Waiting," Phillips' all-girl backing band, feature Alisha Judge on viola, Nikkiesha McLeod on percussion, Mackenzie Shivers on piano and vox and Yuka Tadano on upright bass.

The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips, according to press notes, "uses an interactive cabaret-variety show format – complete with burlesquers, aerialists, and other circus acts – to explore the past, present and future of downtown performance artist Kenyon Phillips."

In an earlier statement Phillips expressed excitement at the opportunity to stage his show at The Box, explaining: “Now the show can really let its freak flag fly. Certain elements that I had to cut from the earlier versions at Joe’s Pub – like aerialists and tightrope walkers – can now be realized. And the new ending will have audience members up on their feet and singing.”

The creative team includes co-director and dramaturg Isaac Klein, music director and arranger Eric Miranda, costume and props designer Eryn Lefkowitz, lighting designer Taylor Black, choreographer Vanessa Walters, sound designer AJ Molae, makeup designer YuuiVision and hair/wig designer Gerald Decock.

The Box is located at 189 Chrystie St. For tickets visit lifeanddeath.brownpapertickets.com or call (800) 838-3006.
