News Robert Petkoff Boards Broadway's Anything Goes Jan. 13; Julie Halston Is in the Wings Robert Petkoff, of Broadway's recent Ragtime and Fiddler on the Roof, slips into the tweed of Britisher Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, a love interest for Sutton Foster's brassy Reno Sweeney, in Broadway's Anything Goes starting Jan. 13. He succeeds original star Adam Godley, who was Tony Award-nominated for his work in the shipboard musical comedy.

Julie Halston (Olive and the Bitter Herbs, The Divine Sister) will play matron Evangeline Harcourt, succeeding Kelly Bishop, starting Jan. 17 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. 

Anything Goes, directed and choreographed by 2011 Tony winner Kathleen Marshall, also stars Academy Award winner Joel Grey as Moonface Martin. The show won the 2011 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival.

Petkoff recently played Buddy in Follies at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Halston is a favorite performer of writer Charles Busch and was founding member of his Theatre-in-Limbo, co-starring with him in over ten productions including Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, The Lady in Question, Red Scare on Sunset (Drama Desk nomination) and Shanghai Moon.

Anything Goes will play through April 29 at the Sondheim (124 West 43rd Street). It was originally scheduled to run through July 31, 2011.

The cast currently features John McMartin as Elisha Whitney, Kelly Bishop as Evangeline Harcourt, Colin Donnell as Billy Crocker,  Erin Mackey as Hope Harcourt, Jessica Stone as Erma, Walter Charles as Captain, Robert Creighton as Purser, Andrew Cao as Luke, and Raymond J. Lee as John. Additional cast members include Clyde Alves, Ward Billeisen, Margot De La Barre, Daniel J. Edwards, Kimberly Fauré, Josh Franklin, Justin Greer, Tari Kelly, Michelle Loucadoux, Shina Ann Morris, Linda Mugleston, Kevin Munhall, Mary Michael Patterson, Adam Perry, Hayley Podschun, William Ryall, Jennifer Savelli, Vanessa Sonon, Anthony Wayne, Kristen Beth Williams. Set aboard a transatlantic ocean liner circa 1934, the show has music and lyrics by Cole Porter; original book by P.G. Wodehouse & Guy Bolton and Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse; and a new book by Timothy Crouse and John Weidman.

The national tour of Roundabout Theatre Company's Anything Goes launches at Cleveland's PlayhouseSquare in October 2012.
