News Rhodes Cast in NYMF Dance Musical, Sophia's Fall Casting has been announced for the New York Musical Theatre Festival production of Sophia's Fall, which begins performances Sept. 18 at Off-Broadway's 37 Arts.

Featuring music and lyrics by Benjamin Birney and book and lyrics by Rob Seitelman, the production is one of four dance musicals that will be presented during the fifth annual festival of new musicals. Jason Summers directs and choreographs Sophia's Fall, which runs Sept. 18-20.

Danielle Erin Rhodes stars in the title role with Philip Deyesso, Meghann Dreyfuss, Liberty Edwards, Tessa Faye, Chris Gleim, Clarissa Grace, Graham Kurtz, Joe Paparella, Danielle Erin Rhodes, Nikki Van Cassele, Ryan William and Michael Wolland.

"Sophia's Fall is an intense musical journey chronicling the final acts of creation through the eyes of Sophia, the mother angel who saved Adam and Eve from Lucifer and his fallen demons. An epic love story, Sophia's Fall is about the triumph of love over justice and the battle that rages inside each of us. A four-piece rock band and fluid, modern dance choreography round out a dark, tuneful score," according to press notes.

The fifth annual New York Musical Theatre Festival runs Sept. 15-Oct. 5. NYMF membership tickets are currently available. Single tickets begin sale Sept. 1.
