Rebecca Kritzer has been named the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation's 2024 Mike Ockrent Fellow. This year, the position will place Kritzer as a fellow working under director Leigh Silverman and choreographer Mayte Natalio on the upcoming Broadway bow of Suffs

The Mike Ockrent Fellowship, established in 2001 and named for the late British stage director, aims to support early-career directors and choreographers and help them develop their skills by arranging a work opportunity with an experienced director or choreographer on the creation of a big-budget musical or play.

Kritzer is a Cuban-American director hailing from Miami, now New York-based. She recently was part of Mercury Store's fall 2023 directing cohort. Kritzer has directed and choreographed regional productions of Cabaret, In the Heights, Sweet Charity, and more.

Founded in 1965, SDCF is a not-for-profit foundation intended to celebrate and support directors and choreographers throughout their careers. Visit SDCFoundation.org for more information.
