The new Broadway revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel officially opened April 12 at the Imperial Theatre. The staging, from Tony winner Jack O’Brien, stars Tony winner Jessie Mueller as Julie Jordan, Tony nominee Joshua Henry as Billy Bigelow, and Grammy-winning opera star Renée Fleming as Nettie Fowler.

The cast also includes Lindsay Mendez as Carrie Pipperidge, Alexander Gemignani as Enoch Snow, Margaret Colin as Mrs. Mullin, and Tony nominee John Douglas Thompson as the Starkeeper.

The Scott Rudin production features sets by Santo Loquasto, costumes by Ann Roth, lighting design by Jules Fisher and Peggy Eisenhauer, and sound design by Scott Lehrer.
Warner Bros. TV and Magnolia Hill have joined forces on the project.
David Cromer and Caitlin Sullivan will direct the co-production for Playwrights Horizons, Vineyard Theatre, and Goodman Theatre.
Tony-winning playwright David Adjmi is no stranger to copyright cases, having previously won a case over his Three's Company inspired play.
